Reducing Opioids

Recent research suggests that using long term opioid medication (strong pain killers like morphine or oxycodone) can be bad for your health, and that it may not be the best way to manage long term pain conditions. Opioid medications can be addictive, and difficult to come off, particularly if done too quickly. It’s important to discuss with your doctor before coming off these medications, so that we can reduce the risk of withdrawal effects.
